Prescription Needs Prescriptions are only authorized for those patients who have had an office visit within the previous 12 months. Refills of most routine medications can be authorized for 1 year following the date of your last office visit. When calling for prescription refills, always have the exact name of the medication, the dosage, pharmacy name, and telephone number. All prescriptions must be authorized by our allergy physicians. Prescription refills called in after office hours will only be authorized for a limited amount of medication since there is no chart to review. Try to call during office hours to avoid these limitations. Be aware that all prescriptions and refills are carefully documented in your medical record.
Laboratory Results You will be advised of laboratory results by telephone. If you have not been called within 48 hours, please call follow up to see if your results are available. If you do not understand the results, ask the nurse if the doctor can return your call or schedule on appointment to explain the test results. Contact us today for more information or to speak to our allergy doctors.
Payment of Services We appreciate and encourage payment for services at the time of your visit. If you have questions regarding our fees, please ask for one of our billing assistants, Barbara or Annette. Please present your insurance ID card at the time of your visit. Patients are responsible for deductibles and co-pays at the time of service. We remind all patients belonging to HMOs or Managed Care Organizations that they must have referral and authorization numbers for each visit.
Medicare Claims We accept fee assignment of Medicare claims. These claims will be submitted directly to Medicare by our office. The portion of the fee not paid by Medicare will be requested at the time of service, unless you have a Medicare supplemental insurance policy. All insurance co-pays are also due at the time of service.
